The words teams use to describe a product shape how people understand it. Feature names, UI labels, settings, actions, product concepts, and support terms all become part of the experience.

As products grow, that language can get messy fast. A term might show up one way in a design file, another way in a product spec, and a third way in support content.

A product language source of truth gives teams one place to define approved terms, explain where they appear, document what language to use, clarify what language to avoid, and assign owners.

It can also support AI-assisted workflows by giving approved internal tools better source material. When product language is clear and easy to find, it is easier for people and AI tools to reuse it consistently.
